Some people were together at a dinner party and the conversation turned to psychological and other labels: “What’s your Myers-Briggs personality chart?” “What’s your Enneagram number?”  There emerged an eager and animated sharing.

One person, however, a young mother and nurse, remained silent throughout. Finally someone asked her: “Where do you land in all of this?” Her answer: “I have an unlisted number!”

  • Numbers and other typographies can can easily become labels and labels stick! Pigeonholing someone does not respect the beautiful complexities of who we are as unique individuals. Perhaps we need to let go of labels and try to let the truth speak independently of them.
  • Let your life unfold and opt for an unlisted number thus allowing for the necessary freedom to grow, evolve and become.

I'm a Jesuit from Malta, an artist at heart and madly in love with all things beautiful and soulful: music, painting, sculpture, photography, film, theatre, poetry, good company, good food, good wine and more. I believe that beauty is a wonderful entry into the mystery of the God “whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere.” God can be sensed in all things if and when we engage in a long, loving look at the real that surrounds us. I consider myself a seeker with bottomless curiosity, an eternal student of life, exploring fresh and creative ways to proclaim the Good News in the hope of helping fellow pilgrims and seekers to embrace real and radical changes that will lead to conversion and transformation.
